Wednesdays from 8:15am to 9:30am Central. 1.25 CEUs/week. Clinical collaboration/case consultation group. Facilitated by Dr. Jeffrey L. Whitaker, Ph.D., licensed marital and family therapist OK #1280, Affiliate Supervision Faculty for the Family Institute at Northwestern University, Clinical Fellow American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Approved Supervisor American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Approved Clinical Supervisor National Board for Certified Counselors, Center for Credentialing & Education, and member of Delta Kappa, International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society. Rounding is a methodology of learning that involves the presentation and examination of clinical cases. Mental Health Grand Rounds have been created in the image of Physician RoundsBalint Groups, and Reflecting Teams. These are traditional ways of teaching and learning in medicine, psychotherapy, and family therapy. Mental health grand rounds focus on peer collaboration and clinical skills including Clinical Interviewing, Assessment DiagnosisClinical Decision-MakingCase Formulation, and Treatment. Mental health grand rounds are appropriate for graduate students, candidates for licensure, new career professionals, and seasoned mental health clinicians.
