Practica & clinical Internships
The Outdoor Achievement Group, L.L.C. offers a limited number of practica and clinical internships for masters- and doctoral-level students who are seeking licensure as a licensed marital and family therapist (LMFT) or licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Oklahoma. These practica and clinical internships are overseen by American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) clinical fellows and Oklahoma State Board of Behavioral Health Licensure (BBHL) approved supervisors. These dedicated practica and clinical internships will help prepare students to work with individuals, families, and groups from a systemic perspective while preparing the student to sit for the Oklahoma Legal and Ethical Responsibilities Examination (OLERE), the Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Regulatory Boards (AMFTRB) national examination, and/or the National Board-Certified Counselor (NBCC) national counselor examination (NCE). The Outdoor Achievement Group, L.L.C. works closely with students’ graduate programs in counseling to ensure they meet their academic requirements and other academic expectations within the allotted timeframe. Students will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing clinical training and supervision that is focused on systemic formulations. As is typical for clinical training in the counseling professions, these practica and clinical internship experiences will include a blending of observation, cotherapy, and an individual caseload that is appropriate for the student’s developing personal and professional competencies. This is a competitive practicum/clinical internship experience that will compliment students’ ongoing academic preparations. Highly qualified students are encouraged to apply. Students are not expected to fulfill administrative duties beyond those that are clinically necessary or required by their academic institution.
