The Outdoor Achievement Group, L.L.C. contracts with most major insurers, processes flexible spending and health savings accounts, offers a competitive private pay rate, and will provide a coded bill at the patient’s request. The Outdoor Achievement Group, L.L.C. agrees to accept the maximum allowable fee for any covered service for consumers that choose to utilize insurance benefits. The patient is responsible for satisfying their deductible, copayment, coinsurance, and any fees for services that are not covered, denied, recovered, or otherwise not reimbursed by their insurer.
Private Pay
The Outdoor Achievement Group, L.L.C. offers a competitive private pay rate for consumers who choose to pay out of pocket for mental and behavioral health services. Our hourly cash fee is $160.00 (billed in 15-minute increments) for consumers that choose to pay privately. The fee for services provided by a graduate student intern is $25.00/session. This hourly fee is applied to assessment, individual and family psychotherapy, marriage and couples counseling (see below), evaluations, writing letters and reports, deposition and testimony including preparation and on-call time, attending meetings, coordinating with other professionals, telephone consultation, technology-assisted services, case management, and other activities or services performed at your request. The fee for Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare (OBHC) is $230.00/day including overnight activities. The fee for group therapy is $22.50/15 minutes. Payment is expected at the time services are rendered. A Retainer is required for court-related services. Failure to satisfy your account balance may result in the suspension or termination of treatment and referral for collections. Pursuant to the No Surprises Act (NSA) you will be provided with a “Good Faith Estimate for Health Care Items and Services” before beginning treatment if you plan to pay privately or use out of network (OON) benefits. You have the right to initiate a dispute if charges are significantly higher than estimated. To dispute your bill please contact the Outdoor Achievement Group, L.L.C., visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers, or call (800) 985-3059.
Marriage & Couples Counseling | Reunification & Reconciliation
Marriage and couples counseling typically does not meet the medical necessity requirement for insurers. This is also true for reconciliation and reunification therapy. The Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and diagnosis codes that are typically billed for marriage and couple counseling are 90847 (Family or Couples Therapy with the Patient Present) and Z63.0 (Problems in Relationship with Spouse or Intimate Other) respectively. The CPT code is universally accepted. However, the diagnosis code typically does not meet medical necessity and is therefore rarely covered. When providing relationship therapy our policy is to collect payment at the time services are rendered. We will submit a claim to your insurance. Once we receive an estimation of benefits (EOB) from your insurer we will adjust your account as appropriate. The cost for relationship therapy is typically not covered by insurers. Employee assistance programs (EAPs) are designed for short-term supportive therapy. Relationship therapy is typically covered by EAPs at no cost to the consumer.
Out-of-Network
Sometimes insurers have a difficult time attracting mental health professionals. Individuals and families sometimes choose to seek treatment from a clinician who does not contract with their insurer. You are responsible for satisfying the cost for therapy whenever you choose to participate out-of-network. Payment is expected at the time services are rendered. The Outdoor Achievement Group, L.L.C. is happy to provide you with a coded bill and help you complete any necessary paperwork so you can submit a claim for reimbursement from your insurer. Many insurance plans include out-of-network benefits. Some insurance plans have a separate deductible for out-of-network services. The copayment or coinsurance for out-of-network services is often higher than in-network. Please contact your insurer for information about your coverage. Here are some questions you should ask your insurance representative:
- Do I have out-of-network benefits?
- What is my out-of-network deductible?
- What is my out-of-network copayment or coinsurance?
- How many sessions are included in my plan?
- Does my plan cover family therapy?
